![]() Book Calls Christians to Action in Rebuilding God’s Temple
Longwood, FL (PRWEB) December 5, 2009 Xulon author Zechariah Donagan’s new release, Mountains before the Temple: Removing the Roadblocks, Rebuilding the Temple ($ 18.99, paperback, 978-1-61579-530-7; $ 28.99, hardcover, 978-1-61579-531-4) explores Jewish, Christian, and Muslim mountains that stand in the way of rebuilding the Temple. This engaging book leads readers to appreciate the forward-looking faith of Solomon and the courage of the Sons of the Exile, who built the Second Temple in Jerusalem. The teachings of Jesus, Daniel, and Paul are interlocked in this future Temple, and readers will investigate how to remove mountains before it can be rebuilt.
Says Donagan, “Mountains before the Temple calls us to action. The book suggests what we can do to remove the mountains that hinder the rebuilding of the Temple. [It] is a sober, unique, post-tribulational challenge to Christians to be partners with modern Temple builders. This goal requires Christians and Jews to rethink old prejudices. [It] opens a different kind of dialogue with Israel based on their ancient prayers and aspirations.”
A graduate of Bible college and seminary, Donagan’s studies on the lost tribes of Israel began thirty years ago and dovetailed with an interest in the first and second comings of Christ and the Temple in Jerusalem. Having served for 20 years in the United States Army Chaplaincy, his visits to the Middle East include Somalia, Iraq, and Pakistan and have played a part in gathering information for this book. He believes Christians can play a critical role in bringing back their Savior by helping Israel in its historic quest to rebuild the Temple.
Xulon Press, a division of Salem Communications, is the world’s largest Christian publisher, with more than 7,000 titles published to date. Retailers may order Mountains before the Temple through Ingram Book Company and/or Spring Arbor Book Distributors. Mountains before the Temple is available online through xulonpress.com/bookstore, amazon.com, and barnesandnoble.com.

![]() You have a dating web site.
But let’s face the truth: competition in online dating business is fierce.
New sites pop out daily – and many fade away in oblivion. Do you know why?
Because most webmasters pay very little attention in a matter of choosing the right target audience. In fact, trying to satisfy each and every single around the globe is a noble, but practically useless idea.
Do not copycat popular general dating sites, which throw millions of dollars into TV, radio and online advertising. Instead, concentrate on a very narrow, specialized niche.
You can choose from the following:
Geographically-based dating; Ethnic specific dating. Not sure on which hobby dating niche to concentrate? It’s simple. Think about your own experience:
Maybe you are a hardcore gamer or biker, adore small pets or boast to your friends about those multiple tattoos all around your body. Choose one category in which you have some distinct knowledge, or, even better, on which you are an expert!
]]> Now, mix this passion with your webmaster skills. Or hire a web designer and build your very special dating site for Star Wars fans like you. Make them feel your passion to that classic movie: put some themed features like quizzes or maybe a question in profile like “What side of The Force would you choose: Light or Dark”? Your visitors should feel that their passion for the topic is shared by other members of this dating community, and be aware of it every second.
There are a lot of faith-related niche dating sites around:
However, not many of them are run by true believers. If you treat your faith seriously, this could be a good niche to start too.
Building a good hobby-specific dating site requires a lot of effort, so instead you might consider connecting singles from your hometown, or any other area. Again – it’s better if you know this area, or at least you are familiar with it to some extent. Keep in mind that you connect real people, not just some profiles. These singles are more likely to trust and pay for the membership on a site which is run by someone who lives a few blocks away, or in a nearby city or state – but not on another continent, right?
Do not underestimate your hometown or even neighborhood dating opportunities. Would 2000 paying members of, let’s say, Catonsville, MD make you happy?
You can stick to more broad niches if you choose ethnic specific dating:
By the way, if you mix categories from all those before mentioned niches – you can get quite unique and, at the same time, potentially lucrative niche for your site. Just a few of examples:
If you already have niche dating site, you probably know that its marketing should be also much more targeted than advertising general dating web site. But the most effective way – targeting the ads only to geographically-specific group of people – can be also improved and increase CTR on your ads up to 306%.
Choosing a niche is an important task, so take your time and investigate the subject thoroughly, before you make your choice. Oleg Khabarov is a marketing specialist in online dating business. Now he works as a marketing manager for such reputable dating advertising network like DatingAdNetwork

If you’re getting serious about the person you’re dating then you and your beloved need to ask and answer a series of questions before commitment * How important is your religion to you? * Are you a tolerant person? * How does your family feel about a mixed religion union and most importantly, how do you feel about what your family thinks of your love life? * Do you have concrete plans (or care to) about your future children and religion? ![]() An Islamic Perspective on Gibson’s “The Passion of the Christ”Â
HEMPSTEAD, NY (PRWEB) February 19, 2004 - ÂActor Mel Gibson said he once thought about committing suicide by throwing himself out a window. Instead, he turned to the Bible, which ultimately inspired him to direct his new movie, The Passion of the Christ, scheduled to debut in theaters February 25th. To date, most of the debate concerning the film revolves around whether or not it will be offensive to those of the Jewish faith and whether it might ignite anti-Semitic sentiment. However, according to the Orientalist and Muslim author, Laurence Galian, so far, no one has apparently mentioned what Muslims may make of the film.
Some critics wonder if Gibson chose to portray the story too graphically. Gibson wants the film to be shocking, but he also wants it to inspire dialogue. According to the Islamic faith, Jesus, was neither killed nor crucified. Muslims believe that a Jesus-look-alike was crucified instead. Nevertheless, Muslims believe that Jesus was taken up to Heaven by God.
In Chapter 4 Verse 158 of the QurÂan it states “Allah raised him up”. According to Islamic belief, God raised Jesus to the heavens, where he lives to this day. What is clearly stated and believed by all Muslims is that Jesus, son of Mary, will return again at the end of the world. He will descend at the end of time and judge among the people with justice, following the Law of the Prophet Muhammad. During those end-times of the world, Jesus will marry, live the life of a married man, and then finally die a human death. ÂThe People of the BookÂ, the title by which Muslims call the Jewish people and the Christians, will all believe in Jesus before his death, after he descends at the end of time. In addition, before his death, Jesus will kill the False Messiah (the Anti-Christ).
The full quotation about the Islamic view of what occurred on the day that Christians believe that Jesus was crucified is as follows: ÂThat they rejected faith: that they uttered against Mary a grave false charge. That they said (in boast) “We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary the Messenger of Allah”; but they killed him not nor crucified him but so it was made to appear to them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for of a surety they did not kill him.
Nay Allah raised him up unto Himself; and Allah is Exalted in Power Wise. And there is none of the People of the Book but must believe in him before his death; and on the Day of Judgment He will be a witness against them. (Chapter 4, Verses 156-159) Mr. Laurence Galian is a Member of the ÂAmerican Oriental Society (Harlan Hatcher Graduate Library, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI 48109-1205) and a Full-Time Administrator at Hofstra University (Hempstead, New York). He recently presented a paper at the Â2nd Annual Hawaii International Conference on Arts and Humanities (Honolulu, Hawaii) January 8  10, 2004. He is the author of ÂThe Sun at Midnight: The Revealed Mysteries of the Ahlul Bayt Sufis (Quiddity Inc.).

![]() Peace it Together
(PRWEB) August 20, 2006 Communion between Muslims and Jews can seem rare – at least when seen against the backdrop of the Middle East, where every day seems to bring new headlines of violence. But halfway around the world in Singapore, members of the republic’s Muslim and Jewish communities are planning to meet and hold a peace gathering.
Some 50 people are expected to attend the peace gathering to embrace a common humanity in each other. The peace gathering will be held this Sunday, 20 August 2006, at the Orchard Parade Hotel (Antica Room) at 11am.
“The get-together is aimed at encouraging both sides to re-affirm their confidence in humanity. It is our belief that when people meet and get to know each other at the human level, many of the barriers that divide us will dissipate,” explains Dr. Syed Farid Alatas, one the organizers of the peace gathering and a member of the Arab community.
Dr Alatas, who is also an associate professor at the department of sociology at the National University of Singapore, believes that such a gathering will create space for both communities to learn more about each other. “Muslims regard members of the Jewish faith as People of the Book so this is an opportunity for us all to interact.”
Present at the peace gathering will include Rabbi Mordechai Abergal and the congregation will also hold a 1-minute silence for both the Lebanese and Israelis who died in the recent war.
Singapore’s Jewish community, mostly Sephardim, dates back to 1830, and migrated mainly from Baghdad, Iraq. Singapore’s Muslims are a diverse group consisting of the Malays, Indians from various parts of India, and Arabs who originate from the Hadhramaut valley in southern Yemen.
Your reporter and camera crew, photographer are welcome to join us at the peace gathering.
Venue: Orchard Parade Hotel (Antica Room, Level 2)
Time (11 am – 12.30 pm)
